RISC: Will Adams 50 make the grade?

According to this recent article, Maine's Department of Education is providing training for its districts with the goal that all schools will adopt this model. Approximately six schools in Maine have committed. Which schools are next? Does this model need to be voted on and approved by local school boards?

  1. Comment from a parent experiencing this RISC system first hand in Denver:

My children are not experiments and should not be treated as such. There is a reason for the decline in enrollment and it goes far beyond the mobility and ethnicity. Parents have been forced to find a better solution that is where you will find former District 50 students, flourishing in other Districts. So for those of you who find it a good experiment ask yourself would you want your kid to go through this and ultimately have a difficult time going to College or getting a Scholarship because this is what we are looking at.
